Karen A.B. Jagoda, President, Turtleback Interactive LLC

Karen established Turtleback in 1998 to address the needs in the marketplace that were emerging as a result of the popularization of the Internet.

Karen is the host of Digital Politics, a weekly Internet radio show available on http://signonradio.com/programs/digital-politics sponsored by the Union-Tribune Publishing Company.  As co-founder of the E-Voter Institute, a non-partisan trade association, Karen was the editor and an author of Crossing the River: The Coming of Age of the Internet in Politics and Advocacy (Xlibris, 2005)

As co-founder of Turtlesnap Ventures, Karen developed and produced the Turtlesnap Investment Symposia series.  World-class experts convened to discuss opportunities in biotech, infotech, nanotech, distance learning, and homeland security, and to gain a better understanding of global trends in technology.

Karen began her career at the headquarters of the Social Security Administration working on the budget and quality assurance and fraud.  Recruited by the Urban Institute. Karen moved to Washington, DC to study government income transfer programs.  Taking an assignment at the Aspen Institute, Karen worked closely with those who first identified the significance of the Information Age.  With an eye to developing content and online communities, Karen joined ComputerLand and then BusinessLand in an effort to get more personal computers into the hands of corporate America.  When the Internet began to emerge, Karen joined with AOL, VerticalNet, NetCount and other web companies to develop business models, grow the client base, and generate revenue.

Karen received her B.A. with a dual major in mathematics and political science from Goucher College and a Masters of Business Management from the Johns Hopkins University, both in Baltimore, Maryland.  After living in Washington, DC for over 20 years, Karen lives in La Jolla, CA with her husband and Cairn terrier.

Turtleback Interactive works with a range of experts on each project.
